Marshmallow Showercaps

Marshmallow Showercaps

A Poem by Haunzwürthe
"

This is a stream of conciousness poem from way back when that I resurrected and edited a little.

"

The world is a marble

and all the people are

little candy sprinkles

with marshmallows for hair

and the marble is

about the size of a basketball

that isn't very bouncy

because it doesn't have

enough air in it

although if

you put in too much

it would explode

which you could then use

as a showercap

which is stupid

because washing your hair

is the first thing you do

in the shower

and the basketball showercap

would only get in the way and

a bunch of water

would get wasted

to where wasted water goes

and the lake where

it's sucked out of

would dry up

and the fish would all

have to grow legs and become

politicians and lawyers

therefore everyone could hunt

without a license and the

save-the-dolphin campaigners

would all have to turn

their attentions to the

football team so if

that certain place ever

froze over and they

won the big one

then everybody

could get a box of

chocolates because in

the movie you never know

which one is gonna have

a marble that for some

reason tastes like

candy sprinkles

and marshmallows

I literally laughed out loud on this one. Love, love, love it! Especially the "fish would all have to grow legs and become politicians and lawyers." I needed that laugh today! This one gets a perfect score. Not to mention, I like the shape of the poem.
