The Fly

The Fly

A Poem by Haunzwürthe
"

Contradiction, hypocrisy, bias, prejudice in it's simplest form.

"

This little nuisance,
how it danced
about my face and neck
in jovial nonchalance.
The pest avoided my
swatter and raid
with dignity and grace
while I thrashed
around the kitchen
in vain.
But when I found
the little heathen
doomed to drown in a
puddle in the sink,
it was all I could to
to help
this fragile creature
onto my finger
as I took it outside
to bask in the sunshine.
