Blank

Blank

A Poem by Haunzwürthe

the brain bleeds

its constant flow

of muddled nonsense

random fleeting snippets

from songs ideas and dreams

from memories and fantasies

into a thought riddled puree

without form denying coherency

                                                and the page remains blank

the hand bleeds

unfettering

motions of the day

gesturing and grasping

pushing pulling and waving

as the conduit for feeling

it breathes in the surrounding forces

yet selfishly exhales two empty palms

           and the page remains blank

the pen bleeds

its inked designs

of abstract doodles

forcing lines curves and loops

into the written language

the letters notes and signatures

on associated documents

display the dry monotony of life

           and the page remains blank

the ecstasy wisdom passion and wonder

explodes when these bodies connect

limitless together though blind when separate

yet the page remains…
