More Than Means To An End

More Than Means To An End

A Poem by Timothy Hatter

You are more to me than I'll ever hope to be to you
In the end I'll pretend I'm worthy
When I know I'm not
You are more than life, more than my wife
A light in the black of night
More than a girl, more than my world
A heavenly beautiful sight
I could live my life with anyone
Sail that sea and make it to land
But with you it's different
I don't have to try to be happy
It comes naturally
You are more than means to an end
