Satan's FlowerA Poem by Jessica WeedI
came upon a flower sweet, Smiling
face of gold, Attract’d
my nose by its perfume, Beautiful
and bold.
I
plucked the flower from its bed And
stared, aghast, it wilted! Tarnished
petals fell in my hands, Revealed
the flower gilded.
Attacked
by scowling odor, I
pled my life unholy, Too
late to beg forgiveness, Venom
killed me slowly. © 2015 Jessica WeedAuthor's Note
