Infantile

Infantile

A Poem by Hasan669
"

This is a poem about a person who is desperate to stay in love, written in the form of a sonnet.

"

Infantile

Like a ten-year old boy

I dance to any melody

sing to any pop rhapsody

though it brings no joy

Like a young naive adolescent

I clown in front of a crowd

though it does not do me proud

To my feelings, I cannot give vent

Like child without a mate

I weep inside for your love

I shout to the heavens above

Please don’t let it be too late

Without you, nothing is worthwhile

I’m lost without you, I’m infantile

A really interesting poem. Seeking and needing as well as craving love and affection but feel alone and abandoned.

Thank you. You got my theme exactly right.
An interesting poem, sort of lovesick moods and impressive in muse wow. Love the rhyming, kudos.
Best wishes brother/sir!

The subject of the poem may not be infantile, but is definitely juvenile. Emotional neediness will probably sabotage any relationship. Interesting psychological study here.
