A Mini ForestA Poem by Hasan669This is a short poem that laments the erosion of forests. I wrote it while doing a short course in poetry, and what inspired me was the view of the back garden where I currently live.A cluster of trees reaching high On stems and branches, squirrels run along Under a canopy of grey cloudy sky Pigeons cooing, robins tweeting a song Flower pots and vases in a row Grasses and vines on the ground The ground slopes down low Across the wooden fence Commuter traffic roars, thunders on Across the wooden fence All serenity is far away and gone © 2018 Hasan669Author's Note
