Bird of ParadiseA Poem by Hasan669This poem is another love poem. I had submitted it only once before recently editing it.Shall I compare you To a bird of paradise? Your words are sweet and true Your heart, golden and wise
Shall I pick a red rose And place it in your hair? Should I kneel and propose To you, a young lady so fair?
Oh, those ebony eyes so clear That stature, slim and dignified Oh, those lips of cherry red, so dear When I meet you, I’m hypnotised
Is it too strange, too unwise To crown you queen of my heart? Please let us never part My bird of paradise © 2018 Hasan669Author's Note
