This is an emotional, romantic and somewhat defiant poem about how strongly one feels about the one he loves.

Why is the night so serene?

Why do the stars shine bright?

They know you are my queen

My one, true hearts delight

 

Why is the sun so radiant?

Why is the sky so blue?

They know the truth, not ambivalent

Our love for each other is true

 

Why do the bands play in time?

Why do their singers sing sweet?

They know it is never a crime

For us both to meet

 

Why do rivers flow so gentle?

Why do the mountains stay so high?

They know our love, of strong mettle

They know our love is no lie

 

Why is the shore so calm?

Why do the boats stay at anchor?

They know how gentle your arm

That soothes my worried temper

 

The forests seem to be abundant

The trees seem to be evergreen

They know our love so radiant

The best that has ever been

 

I know why gardens are in bloom

I know why roses have scents of honey

For us there is gaiety in every room

Throughout life, together we will journey

 

I know that when you are near

My heart and soul have no fear

The world may end without pity
