You Came Back, For Me?A Poem by StefanieA poem I wrote, I don't ryme in most of my poems. I really like this one. There is a second version to it.I watched him answer the question the teacher asked. I herd the girls in class giggling. They all loved him. He's smart. Handsome. He wasn't perfect, but then again, who is? I know I'm not. I never will be. Not even close. I'd never end up with him. The bell rang, and I walked out of class. I walked out of the front door of the school, and stood under the roof. Great, it's raining. I knew I should've brought my umbrella. I sigh and start to walk. I herd my name and looked back. It was him. I blushed and looked away. "Wait!" I stop walking. "Do you have un umbrella?" "No." I didn't look him in the eyes. "Wanna share mine?" I looked up and saw the huge smile on his face. "N-No thank you. I'm fine." "Are you sure?" He frowned. "Yeah...." I walked away, and left him behind.
My vision was getting blurry from the rain in my eyes. I wondered why he frowned. Was he upset that I said no? I shook my head. No. That can't be it. I tried to wipe the water from my eyes, wondering if it was rain, or tears. There were puddles everywhere. Each time I stepped in one, there was a loud noise. I kept walking, looking down at the ground. I herd noises coming from behind. I ignored it, and kept walking. The noises got louder, and louder. It sounded like, someone was running through the puddles. As I turned around, he was running, torward me. He stopped in front of me, trying to catch his breath. His umbrella was open. He put it over my head. I blushed. "You came back, for me?" "Of course, silly." He smiled. I smiled back. We walked together through the rain, knowing that we'd always be there for eachother.
