Tanha (Fire)

Tanha (Fire)

A Poem by Charles Chukwuani

She tasted like unfulfilled desire,
a fledgling flame,
my tongue - gasoline,
we turned bed sheets into fiery battle grounds,
conflagrations of seemingly endless lust;
bloodied lips,
like wounded soldiers,
retreating home with a tale to tell.
