Mosquito, MosquitoA Poem by Charles Chukwuani
Mosquito, mosquito,
why do you bother me so? Are your friends so few? In that regard we are the same. Or is it insomnia? I know that too. Are your eyes reddened like mine as sleep evades us two? Perhaps you are lonely, so you cling to the heat in my skin, like an ardent lover, only wanting to be embraced within. Or maybe you simply have a secret you so wish to share, that you constantly hover around and whisper into my ear? Mosquito, mosquito. CLAP. Now you are dead.
