Feelings

Feelings

A Poem by Charles Chukwuani

feelings
can never really be let go
if you burn them they rise like phoenix
if you bury them they become Lazarus
if you let them fly away with the wind
like a boomerang they return within
if you drown them beneath watery depths
they float like witches don't
parasitic to human nature
they are the shadows of our thoughts.
