Nzuri

Nzuri

A Poem by Charles Chukwuani

Her words constantly portray wisdom beyond her years,
Sometimes nearly bringing me to tears,
Calming my fears,
When she compliments me I actually pay attention,
Because what she says has meaning,
Screw that whole sticks and stones adage,
Her words actually affect me,
Positively,
Consequently,
I feel inspired to inspire her,
I aspire to be her aspiration,
Her approval means everything to my low self esteem,
She understands me.
Her beauty refused to be constrained to her mind alone,
Her skin smooth,
Her body well toned,
She smiles with sun like radiance,
And she speaks with a soft and sultry seduction,
Yet allow thyself to not be misled by her calm demeanour,
For when she speaks the spoken word,
Out comes a fiery princess,
An Amazon reborn,
A Cleopatra as evident by her mantra,
I wish to not tell you her name so I can keep her to myself,
But I dare not deny the world knowledge of a woman so pristine,
She goes by Nzuri.
