Chapter Nineteen

Chapter Nineteen

A Chapter by Chris

Kyle slowly crossed the street to get to the park, an inkling of anger in his eyes. Greg had called him a few minutes ago to tell him to meet him at the park because they needed to talk. He had a feeling that he knew what this was about, and he knew it wasn't going to work. Greg didn't have the nerves to go through with a breakup because he didn't want to have him commit suicide, so it almost felt like a waste of time to even bother coming here. The Sophomore did have to be punished though for not answering his cell phone earlier, so perhaps it wasn't a complete waste of time.

When he entered the park, he looked around for Greg and stopped in his tracks upon spotting him. That b***h. He brought Zach along with him. A shower of curse words went off in his head like fireworks, but he tried to pacify himself. Even if Zach was there, it wouldn't matter. As soon as he threatens to commit suicide, Greg will feel bad and call the entire thing off, no matter what Zach says.

The blond slowly crossed the somewhat large park until he reached the bend Greg and Zach were sitting at. Greg was the first of the two to notice him and he stood up. Zach emulated him after seeing Kyle too.

“You wanted to talk about something?” Kyle asked Greg in a normal tone of voice as he looked at him, the furiousness shining brightly in his eyes.

        “Yeah,” Greg answered.

Then there was hesitation. Kyle mentally snickered at this. There was no way Greg would be able to pull it off. He was too much of a pushover. However, it was then when Zach placed a hand on Greg's shoulder. A bit of courage showed in Greg's eyes upon the touch, which only ended up enraging Kyle.

“I want to break up with you,” Greg continued without anymore hesitation. “I'm sick of you treating me like trash and I'm done with it.”

“What are you talking about?” Kyle asked in a slightly sincere way, unable to pull the act off completely with his anger wanting to surface. “I only do that stuff because I love you.”

        “You're lying,” stated Greg.

Kyle faltered a little. He was beginning to lose the battle. No, there was still one thing he could try. He let out a saddened sigh, dispelling his anger, as he saddened his expressions and hunched his shoulders a little before turning around about three-fourths of the way.

“Okay, I understand,” Kyle said in an upset fashion. “I can see that you don't love me anymore. No one does. . . Maybe I should just kill myself. . . It'll put me out of my misery. . .”

Kyle reached into his pocket, but there wasn't anything in there. Damn it! he mentally yelled as soon as it dawned on him. He had forgotten to bring the knife.

“Go ahead, I don't care anymore,” said Greg.

The blond then turned around, looking straight at Greg. A strong urge to bash his head in washed over him. He then glanced at Zach, who was looking at him in a threatening way. Knowing that it wouldn't be wise to try anything at the moment since there was no way he would be able to stand a chance against Zach, Kyle didn't bother trying to attack Greg. However, he made sure Greg understood the anger he felt. He looked towards Greg, making sure he showed the yearn to kill him in his eyes. A bit of fear flickered onto Greg's face, telling Kyle that he got his message across.

“Fine, I don't need you anyway,” said Kyle.

And with that, Kyle turned around and walked off. Greg stood there almost perfectly still as he watched him, the fear holding onto him. He was startled out of his thoughts a little though when he felt Zach clap him on the back.

“Good job dude, you did it,” Zach said with a large smile on his face.

“Thanks,” Greg replied, forcing a smile.

“Wanna go grab a milkshake to celebrate your victory?” asked the dark-haired male before giving a small chuckle.

        “Okay,” Greg said.

        “Alright, let's go then.”

The younger male nodded and the two began to leave the park. Greg only hoped that that look Kyle gave him didn't mean anything.
