Chapter Seventeen

A Chapter by Chris

Zach stormed through the rather crowded halls, his face showing the anger that he had been feeling every since Friday. He was hurt after receiving the text message he got from Greg on Friday and he wanted to confront the younger male about it because he felt as though something wasn't right. It didn't take long for Zach to find Greg, who was at his locker like the Junior had expected. He walked over towards him.

“Hey, we need to talk,” Zach said sternly upon reaching the Sophomore.

Greg glanced towards Zach before slowly closing his locker door, slinging his backpack on his back, and beginning to walk off. Before he was able to though, Zach spun him around before grabbing onto both of his arms to hold him in place.

“I want you to tell me why you broke up with me,” said the dark-haired male.

The shorter boy didn't say anything as he looked to the side in an ashamed manner.

“C'mon dude, answer me,” said Zach, the sternness in his voice a bit more prominent before it faltered some. “You have no idea how much it hurt to get that text message. I think that you should at least tell me why you dumped me instead of leaving me in the dark.”

Greg sighed a couple seconds later. “I'm going out with Kyle now.”

“What?!” exclaimed Zach in disbelief. “Why the hell are you going out with him again?! He treated you like s**t the last time!”

The brown-haired male gave a weak shrug. “He was going to commit suicide if I didn't go out with him and I didn't want to see something like that happen.”

Hearing this only caused Zach's anger to skyrocket. He almost abruptly let go of Greg before storming off.

“Zach, where are you going?” Greg called out to him.

The Junior didn't answer as he continued to walk down the hall, his eyes darting back and forth in search of the prick. After going down the stairs, he spotted the blond and picked up the pace as he walked over towards him. Kyle saw him before turning around and heading into the bathroom. Zach picked up the pace until he got behind Kyle, spun him around, and slammed him against the wall in a harsh, violent manner.

“You stupid piece of s**t, who the hell do you think you are?” Zach hissed venomously as he tightly gripped onto the collar of the other male's shirt.

A pleased smirk came onto Kyle's face. “What's the matter, jealous that Greg wants me instead of you?”

“Why the hell would I be jealous of a prick like you?! The only reason he's going out with you is because you decided to threaten suicide!”

Kyle snickered some. “Don't make up stupid excuses. You know that he likes me more than you. You're just too jealous to admit it. You hate the fact that I've stolen something important away from you. I'm only giving you payback for stealing everything away from me!”

        “You stupid prick!” yelled Zach.

He got ready to punch Kyle in the face when he felt someone pull him back by the arm. He tried to break free though until he was pulled away from the blond.

        “Zach, stop!” said Greg.

The dark-haired male stopped upon hearing the voice before looking down at Greg, who now finally relinquished his arm.

“C'mon dude, stop going out with this prick,” said Zach as he looked back towards Kyle angrily. “Tell him how much you despise him! Tell him you don't want to be with him!”

Greg didn't say anything as he looked at Zach for a moment, and then looked at Kyle, who held a subtle threatening and angered look in his eyes. The blond then stepped towards the younger male and held out his hand.

“Come on Greg, let's go,” he said, a small inkling of sternness in his voice.

The brown-haired male nodded before taking Kyle's cold hand in his. He looked towards Zach apologetically before walking out of the bathroom with Kyle. Zach stood there almost motionless, completely crushed by what Greg just did. He almost felt betrayed, even though he knew that it wasn't so much Greg's fault as it was Kyle's.

“D****t!” he yelled as he hit the wall with the side of his fist.

Kyle walked down the hall with Greg, his hand tightly gripping onto Greg's hands almost to the point where Greg's fingers could have broken any moment. He could feel the male glancing up towards him every few seconds, and knew that Greg was aware of what would be coming shortly, but he didn't care. The b***h had disobeyed him. The b***h had gone against what he told him not to do. The b***h needed to be punished for this, and he was going to do it accordingly. However, he wasn't going to do it in front of so many people. No, he knew better than that. He knew that they wouldn't understand and that they would probably try to stick up for the Sophomore. There was no way he could allow that. The b***h needed to be punished and it was a punishment the b***h was going to get.

When they reached the stair room in the back of the building, Kyle grabbed Greg and violently slammed him against the wall, causing him to wince. He struck the male against the side of the face harshly, making sure that the anger and disappointment he was feeling was prominent on his face.

“You stupid b***h, I thought I told you not to talk to that b*****d?!” snapped the blond as he punched Greg on the side of the face once again.

“I'm sorry!” Greg said, his cheek throbbing with pain as he tried to cower away from the taller male, not wanting to get hit again.

“You f*****g better be!” yelled Kyle before letting out an exasperated sigh. “Goddamn your worthless.” He stepped away from the other male, turned around, and took a few paces forward before shaking his head in disappointment.

“I'm sorry, I won't do it again,” Greg replied a little quietly.

“You better not,” Kyle said sternly before turning around and walking towards Greg again. “Let's go.” He grabbed the Sophomore by the arm and violently yanked him forward as he began to walk with him up the stairs.
