PrologueA Chapter by Chris
“The plane for Atlanta, Georgia will be departing in five minutes,” announced the man over the intercom. “D****t!” I exclaimed loudly in my head as I ran through the busy airport. My hands were free of luggage; I didn't plan on boarding the plane that would be taking off shortly, but there was something I needed to do, and it had to be done before that plane left. I tried to pick up my pace a little more, but I wasn't really able to go any faster than what I already was at the moment. I mentally cursed at my lame athletic ability, wishing that my legs could go faster. I tilted my head downwards a tad as I continued my dash towards my destination. The tears that had been threatening to come ever since I arrived at this place were finally starting to well up in my eyes. I fought to prevent myself from crying, but the tears slowly started to roll down my face. “Get out of the way!” I shouted at the people that stood in my path. Some of them were smart enough to step to the side and let me through while others needed a little shove in order to get them out of the way. Couldn't they see that I was in a hurry? Everyone was looking at me; I could feel their eyes boring through me as I continued to push my way through their masses. I didn't stop to see if I had hurt anyone by doing this because it didn't matter to me. They weren't important right now. There was only one person that I cared about at the moment. He was the one that had caused me to come here in the first place, and I needed to stop him before he boarded that plane. I had messed up terribly and I needed to talk to him to try to set everything right. © 2008 ChrisAuthor's Note
