![]() Chapter 18A Chapter by Chris
Sean was the first one to wake up the following morning. His head was resting on Alex's chest. He could hear the older boy's calm heartbeat and breathing as he laid there. Sean laid there for a few moments before lifting his head off of Alex's chest and onto the small amount of pillow that wasn't occupied. A soft smile washed onto Sean's face as he looked at the peaceful look that was on Alex's. A hand reached up and stroked Alex's cheek a little before it was brought down to his side. Alex's eyes opened about a few minutes later. He looked towards the bathroom to see Sean stepping out of it, wearing his still-damp clothes. The brown-haired boy slowly sat up on the bed, glancing at the digital clock on the nightstand, which read eight-thirty. “Did I wake you?” asked Sean. “No,” answered Alex. “But why're you up so early?” “I have to go home to get ready for work.” “Oh,” responded Alex, giving a slight frown before a small smile immediately replaced it. “Come back later then?” Sean chuckled a little before saying, “Okay.” Alex got up from the bed and the two walked downstairs. When they reached the door, Sean slipped on his wet gym shoes before turning to face Alex, who leaned in to kiss him. Sean gave a light push to keep him away though, which confused Alex a little. The dark-haired boy quickly looked around a little before looking back at Alex. “We have to be careful about doing that,” advised Sean. The brown-haired boy gave a nod, perfectly understanding the reasoning behind that. He looked around a little himself now, glad that his parents weren't around at the time when he attempted to kiss Sean. After listening to them talking about how he'd have a wife and kids all the time, he was sure they probably wouldn't take the news of him being gay too well. A sigh escaped his parted lips before he looking at Sean. “Alright, see you later then,” Alex said, giving a small smile. Sean smiled before saying his own good-bye. He walked out the door and closed it behind him. Alex stood at a window near the door and watched the younger male walk down the road until he was no longer in sight. A few minutes later, Sean arrived at his house. He slowly stepped into the house and looked around a little cautiously as if he was expecting to be attacked upon entrance. His parents were seated in front of the television. Neither of them bothered to look at the dark-haired boy, which relieved him a little because that meant that his father must've forgotten about the fact that he kicked him out. Sean quickly ate, took a shower, and put on his work uniform before heading off to the restaurant.
Work went by pretty quickly for Sean. When it was over, he rushed to his house to get out of his work uniform and put on other clothes. Afterwards, he left and made his way to Alex's house. Once he reached it, he walked up the porch steps and rung the doorbell. It wasn't long until Alex came to the door. “Hey, you're back,” Alex said, smiling. “Yep,” Sean said, returning the smile with his own. Right then Alex yanked Sean into the door by the front of his shirt. After shutting the door with his foot, Alex pulled Sean into a hug and kissed him on the lips. Sean quickly pushed the boy away. “We can't let your—“ “My parents aren't home,” Alex interrupted, giving a smile. “Oh,” Sean said. Sean stepped closer to Alex, who kissed him on the lips. Both of their eyes fluttered closed and they remained like that for a few seconds before both of them slowly pulled away, smiling at each other. “Wanna go swimming?” Alex asked. “It looks like it might rain soon though,” Sean said. “I have an indoor one.” “Oh, then sure. But I don't have swim trunks.” “You can just use a pair of mine.” Alex took Sean up to his bedroom. After rummaging through a drawer of his dresser, Alex pulled out two pairs of swim trunks. He held a pair out for Sean to take. “Those are my old ones, but they should fit you,” Alex told Sean, who took the pair of swim trunks. “Alright,” Sean replied. Sean went into the bathroom to change and Alex just changed in his room. By the time Sean got out, Alex was already in his swim trunks. The two headed down to the pool room. A few recliners sat along the walls while the large pool sat in the middle of the room. A ladder was on each of the longer sides and on the opposite ends of the pool while a diving board sat on one of the shorter sides. Alex stepped closer towards the edge of the pool and stood there for a few seconds as if he was admiring it. Sean grinned a little as he moved towards Alex and shoved him off the edge and into the pool. A laugh escaped Sean's mouth as he jumped into the pool right afterwards. Alex resurfaced followed by Sean. “That wasn't very nice,” Alex said as he looked at Sean with a false upset look. “I'm sorry,” Sean said, trying to look as though he truly meant it, though was unable to due to the smile that insisted on showing. Alex casually swam towards Sean. When he got to him, he quickly put his hands on Sean's shoulders and dunked him underneath the water. Alex swam away laughing and Sean resurfaced moments later. “You'll pay for that,” laughed Sean as he sent a small wave of water towards Alex, who turned his head away so that the water wouldn't get in his eyes. Their laughter filled the air as they continuously splashed at each other. Alex then quickly turned around and swam away. Sean saw this and immediately started to follow him. The brown-haired boy reached a corner of the pool and turned around to look at Sean, who had been right behind him. Smiling, Sean slowly moved in towards Alex. A hand reached up and caressed Alex's cheek before Sean leaned forward and kissed Alex, who kissed back. Their eyes closed and Alex's arm wrapped around Sean's back, pulling him forward so that Sean was against him. His other hand reached up and lightly grabbed onto the back of the younger male's head. A couple seconds later, Sean's tongue pressed up against Alex's lips, asking for entrance. Alex parted his lips a little and Sean's tongue slid inside to meet Alex's. Their tongues danced in a rhythmic motion for seconds that seemed to stretch on for hours. Sean slowly broke the kiss afterwards and moved his head so that he could kiss Alex on the side of the neck. A light moan or two left Alex's mouth. His eyes slowly opened and he looked towards the door that led into the pool room to see his mother walking past it. Startled by this, Alex pushed Sean away, who looked at the brown-haired boy with a puzzled look on his face. “My parents are home,” said Alex. Sean turned his head to look towards the door to see Alex's dad walking past it now. He looked back at Alex and gave a slow nod of his head before moving a little further away from the brown-haired boy. Feeling as though their fun had been ruined, they both got out of the pool. Alex, being the first one out, walked towards the two towels they brought down with them. He handed Sean one of them and the two dried themselves off before heading upstairs to go change back into their clothes. Once dressed, Sean walked out of the bathroom to see Alex slipping on his shirt. Alex turned around to face Sean now, who walked over to him. “Sorry, I didn't realize my parents would come back home so soon,” Alex apologized before looking down towards the floor in a disappointed fashion. “Don't worry about it,” Sean said, giving a small smile. Alex looked towards Sean and couldn't help but to smile a little himself. A hand reached out and stroked Sean's cheek a little. The smile on Sean's face grew a bit as his head tilted towards Alex's hand. One of Sean's hands came up and lightly grabbed onto Alex's hand, bringing it down to their waists. Sean glanced towards their hands before looking up at Alex. “I should probably get going,” Sean said. “Need to get ready for school tomorrow.” Alex heaved a slightly disappointed sigh, wishing that Sean didn't say something like that. He wished that today didn't have to end. He wanted to be with Sean just a little longer. “Alright,” said Alex. The two kissed each other and said their good-byes. Alex stood there and watched Sean until he walked out of the room and disappeared. A happy sigh left Alex's mouth as he walked over and let himself fall onto his bed, pretty content with how today went. © 2008 Chris |
