Chapter 15A Chapter by ChrisSean goes to Alex's house like they planned earlier that week.
The rest of the school week went by pretty quickly for Alex. Him and Sean got along great together during those past few days. Sean actually seemed to be in pretty good moods whenever Alex was around him. There were a couple times when Sean was a bit down, but Alex always tried to cheer him up, which always seemed to work. Sean was even beginning to smile a bit more too, and Alex noticed that the dark-haired boy had one of the most beautiful smiles. It was now Friday and school just ended. Alex was waiting in his car for Sean to come, listening to the rock music that was being played on the radio as he did so. They were going to go to Alex's house like they planned that Monday. When Sean did get there, he put his backpack in the back seat before sitting down in the passenger seat. “Hey,” Alex greeted the boy. “Hey,” Sean said back as he buckled his seatbelt. Alex backed out of the parking space before starting to drive out of the school's parking lot. There wasn't much said between the two right away. Alex glanced towards the Sophomore boy every now and then. “You alright?” Alex asked once he pulled out of the parking lot. “Yeah, just nervous,” admitted Sean. “Don't be,” Alex said, smiling a little. “We're going to have a great time. I promise.” Sean let out a small chuckle. “Alright. Nice car by the way.” Alex chuckled a little before saying, “Thanks.” The two started to talk a little more. It wasn't too long until they finally reached Alex's house. Sean's eyes widened a bit when he saw the house, never expecting Alex to have such a large home. Alex saw this and couldn't help but to chuckle to himself a little. “Go ahead and take your backpack out,” Alex said. “You can put it up in my room until you leave.” “Alright,” Sean replied. The two got out of the car and grabbed their backpacks from the backseat before heading towards the home. When they got inside, Alex kicked his shoes off at the side of the door and Sean emulated him by doing the same thing. “Back home?” Alex's mother's voice came before the somewhat tall woman appeared in the archway of the kitchen. She looked at Alex and then at Sean. “Oh, and who's this?” “Mom, this is Sean, and Sean, this is my mom,” Alex said to introduce the two. “Hi, it's nice to meet you,” Sean said politely while giving a smile. “Nice to meet you too,” Alex's mother said while returning the smile. “Come on, let's go up to my room,” Alex told Sean. Sean gave a small nod before following Alex up the stairs. When they got to Alex's room, Sean looked around a little. “Nice room,” he complimented. “Thanks,” Alex said as he set his backpack down next to his desk. “Go ahead and put your backpack down somewhere. Wanna go down to the basement? We can play some video games down there.” “Sure,” the dark-haired boy said as he set his backpack off to the side near the wall so it wouldn't be in the way.” Alex took Sean down to the basement. It was a fairly spacious room with white carpeting and walls. It almost looked like a living room in a small way due to the couch and television that were down there. Alex walked over to the television. He pulled several video games out of the television stand and held them out so Sean could see them. “Which one you wanna play?” he asked. Sean shrugged before saying, “Doesn't matter to me.” “Alright, let's play this one then.” Alex set a video game down and put the rest away. He turned everything on and popped the disc into the video game console before grabbing two controllers. One was given to Sean while the other one was for Alex. The two sat down on the couch and waited for the game to start. Alex looked over towards Sean to see a slightly puzzled look on his face as he stared down at his controller. “Haven't played before?” Alex asked. “No,” Sean admitted. “You'll get used to the controls. It'll just take a little while, that's all.” Sean nodded. They began playing the game afterwards. Sean had quite a bit of trouble for a little while. He had to keep glancing down at the controller to see where the buttons were that he had to press. The more he played though, the better he got and the less he had to look down at the controller. After playing it for a good bit of time, the two stopped and decided to head out to the back of the house. Their backyard was large. There wasn't really anything out there besides a small garden that sat alongside the house. The two soon came across a football that was sitting in the yard that Alex and Vincent had played with a little earlier that week. Deciding to play around with it now, Sean backed up from Alex so that he was a good few yards away from him. The two began to throw the ball back and forth to each other. After a few minutes, Sean decided to take off running with the football and Alex started to chase after him. Their laughter filled the air as Sean ran as fast as he could with Alex hot on his trail. While running, Sean looked behind him to see how far Alex was behind him, which was a bad mistake. Alex dove forward and tackled Sean to the ground. The two laughed a little. When it died down, the two looked at each other, their eyes meeting. Both of them froze for a moment as they gazed into each other's eyes. Alex then rolled off of Sean and they both looked away from each other, blushing. “I should probably head home now,” Sean said a couple seconds later. “It's starting to get late.” “A-alright,” said Alex. The two headed up to Alex's room, neither of them saying a single word to each other. When they got up there, Sean grabbed his backpack and put it on his back. “Bye,” Sean said. “See ya.” Alex watched Sean walk out of the room. A sigh escaped his mouth shortly afterwards and he fell down on his bed with his arms sprawled out on either side of him. He stared up at the ceiling and thought a little about what had happened moments ago. Never once had Alex ever realized that he had these kind of feelings for Sean. It was definitely clear now though after reacting like he did when he tackled the other male. Alex now knew the fact that he loved Sean. As he thought about this, he couldn't help but to wonder if Sean shared the same feelings for him. Another sigh left his parted lips, figuring that he would maybe find out soon enough. © 2008 Chris |
