Boss fight

A huge door stood strong before us I could feel the tense rising in the group we had finally rounded up. With everything that had been going on they didn't want to die, and I knew that more than anything. Before our journey here a meeting was held. Many spoke up discussing about how this could be a suicide mission. Yet others claimed they were just cowards. It was battle all on its own without the boss present.

To settle everyone's nerves I suggested a training session since I had taken a sneak peek of the boss himself. Though he was in slumber until a brave soul challenged him it didn't move. Even though I had created this creature I had no real knowledge of its strengths, well not anymore. After erasing all my memories of such knowledge to play fairly I knew just about as much as everyone else.

We sparred with one other for days until the leader claimed we were all ready for the battle ahead. That's where we stood now. A figure stood beside me straight and proud. This was our leader. I wasn't much for joining guilds but he had beaten me fair and square. It was a couple of days that he had met me saying how he heard rumors of me and wanted me to join. After getting tired of him always perusing me every chance he got after refusing his offer I gave in to the fight he proposed to claim my loyalty.

He placed a gentle but firm hand on my shoulder, as my gaze raised to meet his he gave me a reassuring smile. "We will do just fine." He said in a whisper that seemed to be just for me and I gave a firm nod in response.

Slowly the lights went out and a burst of flames appeared on the torches next to the door. I could hear the creaking of the massive door struggling to open as I slightly cracked open revealing a room ahead. I took in a deep breathe calming my nerves. Here is where we will all unite and beat the boss of the thirty fourth floor.

Finally the doors opened all the way with a loud pounding noise as it hit the wall behind it scraping up dust from the floors as it blew up around us. The leader turned to face the members of the guild and others that had just joined us in the raid for support. His hand raised to the air. "Here is where we will hone the skills that we have learned throughout these tough days and defeat the unbeatable boss of this level. We shall walk out victorious for we can not be slayed." He seriously shouted out.

As soon as his words ended the uproar that took over those halls was one that could lift any spirit. The sudden cheering lifted even my spirits I was ready and it seemed like everyone else was as well. A smile appeared along our leaders face seeming quite satisfied with everyone's response. "Now let's show him what we've got!" He shouted taking his giant sword from his sheath and raising it towards the door.

I could hear all the sounds of charging feet race passed me as they all marched into the room. "Time for us to go too."

"Yea." I said a new determination forming of me as I made my way inwards to the room. As soon as we entered the door smacked shut behind us. It startled many of the members, I could hear the worry in their voices as they were questioning it amongst each other. The room was dark yet I could hear a beastly breathing coming from somewhere. I couldn't determine the exact location worry flowed over me as I searched desperate through the darkness.

There! I lounged myself forward towards one of the members causing us both to tumble towards the ground! just in time for a giant arm to come down with such force it cracked the ground where we stood. I turned my head towards it's direction as I helped the member to their feet standing in front of them. Soon the beast came into view as the torches started to slowly light themselves just enough that we could make out small parts of the room.

Our eyes widened at the sight of the monster that stood before us. Massive in size as it stood up straight, white dirty like fur covered it's body,  as it glared at us it's eyes were a deep blue like an ocean that could drown you if you dared step into it. It appeared like a giant ape like creature yet it's facial features strayed away from that of an ape. It's snort seemed long with teeth that appeared out of its mouth.

Suddenly it's attention flashed to me with eyes that burned right into me. My legs felt heavy as I met it's gaze, I could feel tugging on my arm but my body didn't respond to move away. Was I frightened?

A piercing roar echoed through the room breaking the trance I had been in a realized what just happened. An arrow struck out from the side of the creatures neck. It thrashed it's arms around making wooshing sounds that sent gust of wind around us. The wind itself was strong and I had to stand my ground to not be blown away from it.

"Mugey! Get out of there!" A familiar voice called out to me as I struggled to find the source. "Watch out!"

"Huh?" My attention was brought back to the creature, but not in time. It's hand swiped at me scooping me up in its hand. It's fingers wrapped around my whole body. I struggled to get free but every motion I made it would squeeze me until I gasped then release. It would do that multiple times as if enjoying itself.

I didn't know how much more I could take. Feeling my consciousness going out I did the only thing I could. I managed to get an arm free, just barely, and reached for the end of my sword pulling it out and stabbing it right through its hand. It screeched loudly in pain as it threw me to the ground with a loud smack. Clouds of dust blew up around my body as I made impact.

Fainting I heard feet approaching me but they faded in and out as I heard voices but couldn't make out the words. My ears began to ring as hands gripped me pulling me to my feet. I was afraid to look at my health bar to see how low it already had gone. Only the beginning of the fight and I've let myself get this distracted. Though I couldnt die here.

A potion was brought up to my mouth, but I shook it away refusing the help. I got myself into this so whatever I was left with is what I will fight with. Is what I thought as I kept shoving their offers away.

"Um sir...." their voices shook as they tried to get the leader's attention. "Sorry to inturrupted but the creature looks like it's getting ready for another attack." Like if on cue we all looked towards it.

Pounding it's hands against the ground shook us to our knees. "If we keep this up there's no way we are going to win." The leader said quietly.

Looking around our surrounding an idea hit me. Tapping him on his shoulder I whispered. "I got an idea." I had to be quick about my explanation or we were all going to get slaughter and end up dead. "We need the archers to act as distractions while the close range fighters head towards it and attack it from all directions. It might be big in size but that's what gives it's weakness. It's speed isn't quick enough to catch us all."

Everyone looked like they had just won the fight even though we were just getting started.
