Slow suffocation in front of the mirror

Slow suffocation in front of the mirror

A Poem by badmalthus

staring into her reflection
she sits pondering
the imperfections of life
as she slowly drowns
in long dead dreams
& forgotten moments
of bruised & battered love

she knows every wrinkle
on her face
has a poem
buried deep within it
& each weary morning
she covers all the cracks
with cheap make-up
so the world
wont hear her scream

I have been writing poetry for many years. I have a passion for philosophy or some might say it is a disease. I am a misanthrope and hermit by nature. My favorite poet is David Lerner. more..
