Astronauts

Astronauts

A Poem by Harriet Rose
"

This was the second poem I ever put together. I wrote it to represent the freedom I felt when I first discovered poetry.

"
The stomach in my brain throws up onto the page,
curled up behind it's great, grey walls no more,
not hiding from the glare of critical minds.
The cog in my head starts to turn,
finally able to churn out thoughts;
no longer floating in the empty space of my mind like astronauts.

Beautifully expressed. Words really need to be let out and what better way than writing poetry
