Copycats

This is my first writing on Writer's Cafe. It's not too long but I hope you find some fun inside.

Copycats :)

Copycats are a disaster.  However, if there is really a cat that copies me, wouldn’t it be lovely?  Last weekend, my friend, Pat was out of town for some reasons. She asked me to take care of her cat, Marie �" Did the elegant Disney cartoon character Marie pop up in your mind?  No!  Definitely don’t!  The Marie that I took care of is totally not!

 

Last Saturday night, I was watching my favourite TV programme while Marie kept cleaning her body by licking.  I stared at her when the advertisement time started, all she did was crawling on the floor and purring with her claws.  What a boring cat!  Then I went back to the TV but the advertisements were still going on.  I decided to update my Facebook.  I posted “Boring cat and boring TV”.  Then I continued watching.  As usual, no one was at home (so I lied on the sofa casually with my legs spread wide open).

 

I didn’t know, but the next morning I was still on the sofa.  I walked to the washroom and washed my face for a fresher look.  When I came out, I saw Marie lying on the sofa, the same way I did!  Can you imagine a furry cat with such a silly posture?  I laughed crazily and posted on Facebook “Sometimes copying can bring us lots of fun �" even investigating new things we never know!”

 

I smiled from my heart and patted the sweet copycat gently.

The title is perfect for this piece! You write in a way that is easy to relate to, as well as adding humor.
Isn't it interesting when we look at life through many different perspectives.
It opens the world up rather than looking at it with tunnel vision. Keep up the great work! ~ :-)
