I believe that this is true, but I do not agree with the fact that you say that if we dont agree with it, that just means that we havent discovered ours yet.
I can name multiple people who did not let "savageness" destroy their good beings:
1. Jesus: he forgave the people who betrayed him, that is not very savage like if you ask me.
2. Ghandi: Ghandi never succumbed to the "savage" in him. When he was 5, him and his friends stole a statute from a temple and he was the only one who admitted to doing it because he refused to tell a lie. When India was in a time of war, he only protested and never fought. He didnt even fuss when they forced him in a cell and made him a prisoner, because he did not believe in violence.
3. Mother theresa: An obvious example of someone who refused to let their savage personality control their lives, and I have high beliefs that she never had any savage in her to begin with. She was a pure and honest soul.
4. Buddha. I dont even think buddha needs a description. Haha.
