For todayA Poem by Quattro HallFor today is the way I lost her. For today is the way I live again. I want her to know I still want her, still she
wants another. For today I say I am ok to die but I fear
what’s comes after. For today I want to kiss her but she does not
lie in wait. I question her and myself but still find no
answer. For today I still want to hold her hand and
carry the weight of our worries. There’s no one out there that sees the war in
the rain. For today I believe in a hell and I wonder if
this is how it smells. For today I walk in the rain following along unknown
streets and today I think of home. Thinking of the smells long past and the times
spent in the rain. For today I want time to past as if I was
running down the keys of a piano. For today I cry in still wait of wanting her…
of caring for her. © 2013 Quattro HallReviews
