And so You smiled

And so You smiled

A Poem by Quattro Hall

its not really a poem but its more poem then story

You smiled and I knew I had to say hello. The way you looked made me smile even wider. Your eyes brightened and a small shine happen just for the moment. I walk a little closer know not what to say but hello. I fear what my gut is telling me yet you still smile and you reminded me of a spring morning. The morning you wake and the sun is just brought a new day and you know deep inside that this day will be remembered. That spring morning where you take the biggest breath just to have the scent. Your smile makes me feel 12 all over again. The pacing back and thinking should I do this? I turn to look and you are not there. I turn away to know my defeat and there you are. Looking at me with open arms and open eyes. You grasp in a hug as if it’s the last time you will see. I took in your eyes and I smile then say in what world would a guy like me get a girl like you? You never answer instead you bite your lip and say it should matter as long as we want this. So I ask you what do I reminded you of. You just reply the moment after rain, as you smile and lay your head in my chest.
