Stroke of a key

Stroke of a key

A Poem by Quattro Hall

Stroke of a key to make a melody to play song to portray what is wrong.

A chime of a note while singing words that have been wrote.

Lights of a flame casting shadows forgotten and left in shame.

Worries in a worthless lesson yet to still be learned, worthlessly wanting.

Gaining but with no greater gain.

Strumming strings with trying to hear the strains or a melody.

Hearing the hummers while forgetting the strings.

While ivory turns to gold the strings and notes become ours to hold.

Remembering the metronome as the speed seems to go.

With every hiss of a cord every wind of the bow it somehow takes you farther than you may know.

With reasons you don’t wish to explain, Those reasons help you understand their pain.
