The Mask

Simple bliss 

some may say

 in masquerade. 

 

 

Opened  Eyes, 

What is, 

in front of her? 

His lies took her over 

and 

before she knew, 

it was a 

bloody massacre 

 

 

Majestic Victorian! 

Souls of horror

 danced all night. 

The waltz of love harmonized!

 The energy of 

fire

 gave both souls

a great fright.  

 

 

Covering his

true self. 

He drove her 

insane. 

  The devil he 

hid 

before her. 

He made sure,

She felt convicted!

Paralyzing heart 

pain.

    

 

This night is the 

last dance. 

no more abuse, lies, 

or putting him before 

what she believes…

You have demonstrated so well, for those in similar situations, that entering into an abusive relationship, via deception in order to draw one in, is a direct short circuit total drain on one's self esteem, emotions, and overall mental well being, and a firm decision must be made to exit stage left in seeking the return of freedom and sanity for the sake of one's own life to be lived in peace, happiness, and harmony ...
