ReliefA Chapter by Harmony PawsJake finally gets some comfort and safety with the principal, probably the only adult he could trust besides his mother.
Jake glanced at his hands. The young boy never even thought he was capable of that kind of power. "Mighty impressive, Jake!" said a voice of an elder. He could hardly recognize the voice, so he shifted his gaze to the door. "You scared off the bully in no time," the voice said again, now recognized as the principal once Jake saw him. "Oh.. uh.. you saw that?" Jake inquired, afraid that he would get in trouble for fighting. "Hey, come with me.." Principal Rai said, motioning Jake inside the school once again. Moments later, Jake was standing in the office. "Great, now you've done it.. it's gonna be a detention.." Jake muttered under his breath. He was the opposite of in trouble, actually. "Just take a seat and draw, I'll be back in a minute!" The principal said, rubbing his mustache with his eyebrows furrowed. Jake was drawing a decent stick figure on a piece of notebook paper and pen he found on the desk to pass the time. "Alright, boy. I'm back," Principal Rai said, sitting on the other side of the desk. "Now.. tell me about your day, if you will," he said to the child.
