Out of Control

Out of Control

A Poem by Harmonies and Things

My head is in motion - much like a tornado. Unsure of my next line of action,

Do I sweep through the marketplace, sending everything spiraling?

Or do I waft through the maze? The choice is simple. But only for those with a heart.

See me rolling, see me spirally. The screams like jazz to my blues.

What’s power when it’s lying fallow?

What’s gut when no one can perceive it?

I’m scaring myself. It’s time to stop. Time to hit the brakes.

I searched, searched, and searched.

Oh, look! There’s my brake flying freely amongst wooden stalls.

No brakes held, I hold my breath. Looking up, only You can save me now.
