Side by Side or Miles Apart...True Friends are always close to the Heart!!
When tears fell from my eyes, You knew they were real and not crocodile's. It was so easy for you to make me smile, It just took you a short while. Wish I could take away your pain, Bring back your happiness and let your sorrows drain. Unfortunately my efforts went in vain, Your tears kept pouring like the rain. Someday somewhere you will find a door, Which will be the gateway to happiness I assure. I will forever stand by your side, Just a call and I will be sitting beside. True friends we are, true friends we will be, Together we will uproot the sorrowful tree. The bond we share is quite strong, It will remain the same even if the distance is long. Found a special friend in you, Hope you know all I say is not fake but true. Your happiness is all I pray for, Surround yourself by peace and not war. Always let your emotions flow, Throw them all off with a blow. Remember hope is a waking dream, Get up smiling and dont scream. I'll miss you my friend, I wish this friendship has no end!
I just dislike rhyming poems! I don't mean this one particularly, but in general they disturb me.
I love the message you're writing your friend over here.....
I am a strong believer in friendships and sincerity :)
Very faithful adaptation of the concept :) and good writing skills :)
goodbye :)

Anyway thank you for the appreciation and thank you for taking out time to review even though you don't like rhyming poems! :) So that means a lot to me

I think the criticism of rhyming poems comes from the fact that the words can feel forced simply for the sake of rhyming. I like both and I admire poets who do rhyming poetry very well (because I don't). A poet can learn much from reading the classical poets who were so masterful at it. As for this write, I think it represents the beauty of friendship very well.
I loved this! It seemed to perfectly describe some of my true deep friendships that I have. Even though I may not choose to share this type of closeness with many people I think it is important to share it with at least some people. Well done!

Yeea well said..Glad you liked it :)
Thank you

Wow! This poem really brought tears to my eyes (I guess I just relate a little too much, hahaha). I really like the lines at the beginning "When tears fell from my eyes, You knew they were real and not crocodile's. It was so easy for you to make me smile," Comparing crying to a potential manipulative fiend, a danger is very powerful--at least with my experiences with people that's powerful to me and I know it would be for her, too. This poem, all and all, it's just really beautiful. (heart)
I can relate to this more than I'd wish to admit. My best friend Melissa was going through a hard time and all I could do was hug her as she cried. I wish desparately I could make her the happiest girl in the world but the failiar in me doesn't seem to know how. ^^
I'm sorry to see you felt that helplessness and cast it into this piece but at least you're a great friend for sticking by your buddy til the end.
Well done, well played. ^^

This is such a powerful tribute to friendship. I hope you will allow me to use your poem (crediting you - of course) when writing my friends. I love the line, " Together we will uproot the sorrowful tree." It emotes such strong imagery that I can almost smell the moist soil clinging to the roots. Thank you for this one.

Thats quite amazing to read! Thank you so very much :)
Nicely written, I like the rhymes, although I seldom write with them myself. I think the person that has you as a friend is fortunate to have such a friend.
