Wars

Wars

A Poem by Cal Liar

You know how I got these scars?
From the tendrils of
my despair
From the lies of
the angry ones
From the pain
of the broken one

How I got these
Scars?
In sights it's seen
but the broken one has it
out for me
It knows
My life
It knows
My name
It holds my secrets
And
It slices my
Veins
So I hid it
Shrouded it
In sorrow
And it declared
War, a war of wars
It threatened control and take over
It did
The broken one
had claimed it's throne
And held a grip
It threw me
Aside and tried to slit my throat
It slashed the
Limbs and seared my eyes
It ate my
Fruit and
Scathed my scarred, scratched heart
But I rose and limped my way to the controls
And with my strength
I broke free and start my life anew
