New York Fashion Week Spring 2015A Story by Harley SapphireAn article I wrote a while back on New York Fashion Week - the Spring 20155 collection.New York Fashion Week Spring 2015 New York Fashion Week is always an inspiration for everyone. As an aspiring designer I often wonder where the big designers get their inspiration and new trends what I do know is that the spring 2015 fashion week held many new styles, bought back some old ones and most of all made a great start to a new season. Most important though are the styles that trickle down to everyone. Crochet wasn’t just on the runways but almost immediately found in stores too. From designers like Dolce and Gabbana and Alexander McQueen to stores like Zumiez and Maurices, you can find black and white crochet tops, dresses, bags and more anywhere you look. We also saw styles from the nineties and even seventies this week! A personal favorite designer of mine Wes Gordon, started to bring back the popular neckline from twenty years ago, as well as a few other designers. Multiple major themes from the seventies were shown this week. With flared jeans, bohemian styles and patch work across the runways. Finally ponchos and kimonos were very big on the high street and should be throughout street style, just with the extravagance taken down a bit. Although there were many more amazing trends to be seen on the runway this season, I personally think that these are the ones to look out for no matter where you look or what your current style is. © 2015 Harley SapphireAuthor's Note
