I Had A Dream

I Had A Dream

A Poem by Arlen

I had a dream our ego was put out by the rain

If it continues to burn us, we'll always feel pain

I had a dream we finally saw their evil faces

We all have souls, there's no different races

I had a dream there was no more violence

Recognize the true peace of inner silence

I had a dream we thought outside the box

Our mind always being thrown like rocks

I had a dream we saw we were being lead the wrong way

It will come to pass but not before we have to pay

I had a dream there was a television in every house

Controlled in the maze and we play the mouse

I had a dream we all knew we were created equal

Martin Luther King said it first, this is the sequel

About
I got into writing poetry at a point in my life where I was really down and depressed as a teenager. As I started to release my creative expression, the more things started to flow for me. I realized .. more..
