Don't do this to yourself

Don't do this to yourself

A Poem by Samantha Taylor
"

I wrote this about 2 years ago now. I had a soulmate. A sister. Someone I loved so dearly. She pasted in October 2016. She was so kind hearted and adventurous. She ended up in a bad relationship once.

"
I have to stop myself
Thinking about you doesn’t help.
You’re lost and confused,
Broken, and abused.
I tried offering my hand,
But you just turn and ran
Right back to the person who hurts you
I can’t control what you choose, or do,
But I also can’t stand here and watch you loose
This on going battle between red and blue.
Things are getting dark, and I wish you knew
There’s better out there, a better boo.
And you hate to know, I’ve walked in your shoes
But I have been there, been abused.
You think he loves you, and he doesn’t mean to hurt you.
Actions speak louder than words,
And there are days when I wonder.
Why does he hurt her.
Your smile flashes in my mind,
Your laugh an echo hard to find
When’s the last time he was kind?
Tell me whens the last time you felt happiness?
All he ever does is make you feel less
But he should feel f*****g blessed.
You’re an angel walking the earth
And I pray you find your worth.
They might not know those bruises are new
Around your eyes clouding the blue
That stare back at me.
They might not be able to see
The pain your hiding, trying not to be
this evil human he makes you seem.
You’re an angel walking the earth
I wish god I wish I could show you, your worth.
Through hell and back
True confidence you lack
He tells you your crazy, your whack
But hell baby your amazing its a simple fact.
