Just some thoughts this time

Just some thoughts this time

A Poem by HareRama

I've been watching you suffer in this ocean and you're the one drowning.
I hear you scream for help and I try to get to you from the beach.
The tide rolls in and I try to understand how you got there.
Each wave crashing into your face and muffling your screams as we all move in on you.
All of us tied down with heavy chains dragging them so slowly towards you.
Some become exhausted by their own faults and fall to the sand.
My inner drive won't let me stop. I keep on pulling against the sand and metal.
I don't know if any of us will make it to you but, if someone does, how much better all of the world will be with you back on safe and dry land.
