Pacing towards North, but as a Cannonball

Pacing towards North, but as a Cannonball

A Poem by Lawrence Hardesty
"

"
I pace towards the corridor
At the footing of a cannonball.
Fired, and calculated.
But clumsy
As a blast would have been.

All was lost
In that direction.
All was destroyed.
And towards North,
That corridor was aimed.
