A Moment's ZenA Poem by The Darkest Silhouettethis is based on the recent experience of taking my new son out to the beach
Rare is peace in our lives
rare is absolute serenity sun falling down aiding my shadow cast sand makes no cry as the tide washes over it urchins gurgle beyond the shore while oversea there fights a war of daisies and roses while thorns and vipers duel on foreign soil splashing saltwater meets my toes the baby in my arms lays as still as my heart unrushed by the world pants long since soaked through by saturated sands i am at final peace contrast to the surrounding i am at inner zen if only for a moment © 2008 The Darkest SilhouetteReviews
