In My Bed (Nothing)

In My Bed (Nothing)

A Poem by The Darkest Silhouette
"

this is the second part of a two part poem, im not saying you have to read part one, but you should

"
cravings frantic
i desire the things
i once had
and have no more
jealousy
the partner still relaxed
deafening spiritual rant
of a manic preacher
all to yourself
in your mind, alone
and you are anxious
nothing is forever
why can't it be
a life with nothing
gives you nothing
to live for
forever is nothing
all is lost in time
only to shadow the future
and nothing more
cold fury
i attempt to grasp
with new hands
but there is nothing
to hold, it is all past
perhaps it is better
to live
pulling at the shirttails
of the future
than to cling
to the past

I LOVE that. Really, I dig the collaboration between the two poems. Nicely woven together in succession. I dig it, man.

Don't cling to the past. It is in the past! Nice write!

"nothing is forever

excellent lines, they say it all!
and you are right, we must live for the now, for the future- but not in the past it only helps to waste the precious little time we are given!
