In My Bed (Forever)

In My Bed (Forever)

A Poem by The Darkest Silhouette
"

this is the first part of a two part poem, just so you know

"
Mindless, quiet
basking in the glow
of a single candle
cigarette butt smolders
in the ashtray
existance, life
is merely a passing dream
to be without is peace
a life to be with things
is gone
left is the reflection
nothing is all
all is familiar
a cloud once bleak
filled with colors
of the passing storm
and you are
laying, relaxed
post-climactic rush
all is nothing, anymore
i am at peace with you
and myself
for the first time in years
rhythmic breathing
lulls me into security
thoughts pass
in the blink of an eye
and you have no hands
to reach out
and grab them
such is the peace of a life fulfilled
without want
but it is only a moment
here in my bed

the bliss of lovers...so true. Nice piece. As I said, the two parts are definitely connected perfectly. Nothing lasts forever...
