The Valley

The Valley

A Poem by The Darkest Silhouette

A late night outcropping

dividing, pouring

filling the valley

hilt to the testament

a vague reference is thrown away

the valley fills again

titillation to the human brain, this

a roaring acknowledgment

to celebrated mass

from the valley the trenches pouring

dividing, imploring

an army of billions knocks at your door

but just who are you to ignore

inhibitions fall to the floor

waking beyond the hindered sills

is a love empowering

cold featured comforts

kilter too slow

a shower of spring water

beyond all is to know

reckoning advances

utter lack of pants'

contours span

his eye advances

deadly romances

midnight waking glances

in exodus he dances

dangers moved to the back door

flights of ecstasy left unignored

reached and empowered

chances unimportant

he drives mindlessly for the final score

the king's chalice tips

assassin reveling in victory

cowardice slips in and conquers home ground

irrevocable damage to the master plan

the army invades only a minute too soon

and a shot is lost at greatness

washed aside the valley is he

the would be hero

Lots of great words used here. I like the circularity the rhythm of the words brings.
