A Child is Born

A Child is Born

A Poem by The Darkest Silhouette

Months too early

hours too soon

he became

the boy

what can one say

about a child

no one wanted

to begin with

accident, mishap

punishment for fun

so she thought

as she gave birth

to the devil

candlelight elegance

cocktail grace

all he could want

when first they met

and so things went

the sex was great

reckless endeavors

and failed contraception

and so came

the child

the b*****d

her figure was gone

first she blamed

the father

then, as it grew larger

the child

abortion considered

no, she wanted to see

the face

of the boy she hated

so months later

bloody hospital bed

screaming and crying

she saw his face

love at first sight

"love at first sight" ,indeed. I am happy to have read a "good" ending here. This has a consistent rhythm and keeps the reader's attention easily. Well done. Look forward to reading more.
