Who scares you now?
A Story by The Darkest Silhouette
short story for facebook.
When I was four, people told me, "you better be good, Santa Claus is watching."
At ten I knew Santa wasn't real (I tried convincing my parents he was
though, by getting them a present that I signed "Santa") then it was,
"You better be good, God is watching you." By 16 I was firmly
Buddhist and my parents stopped talking to me about God except in the
theoretical, then they said, "You better behave yourself, or the cops
will get you," as if they were a bodysnatching gestapo. But now, I
don't hear as much of that. I mean, my Dad will always be paranoid of
the police, and rightfully so, but what I hear the most now is, "You'd
better be good, or the pictures will be on facebook tomorrow."
