Medusa

Medusa

A Poem by Lindsey

I catch the scent of roses
jasmine and dark amber
You perfume the very air
as you walk
with a serpents grace

Medusa
Who was so beautiful
before the curse
Still
You walk like a river
You drift like clouds
over the golden moon

All around you,statues
Men caught in time
Held still by your fierce gaze
Lips like wine
and breath like honey
Serpents child
You walk in beauty

I agree with your other reviewer (Kelly), about this one, and like how nicely you've linked such a tapestry of beautiful words; with that ancient legend of the Medusa. And, the idea of portraying medusa as a serpent's child; adds another unique touch. Keep writing! I also accept "read requests", on this site.
