Green and Gold

Green and Gold

A Poem by Lindsey

Shades of gold and amber
Shades of Autumns past
Autumn winds blow softly
Then comes Winters icy blast

The leaves they are a-dancing
and whirling in the sky
They tangle in the tousled hair
of every passer- by

If Autumn is your season
Exchange your green for gold
Our love endures
Through Autumn change
TonWinters frost and cold

Beautifully written nature poem. I love rainy season

Posted 2 Weeks Ago

Gold is often a word which is used, to refer to autumnal leaves; as in "the golden leaves of autumn". Or, "leaves of golden brown"; is another commonly used example. This poem reminded me of seasonal change, and that we can be "mindful"; by simply appreciating the accompanying sensations.
