My love you’re gone forever

I see you where you’re not

I sense you in the shadows

in each familiar spot

Your scent imbues my pillow

with memories of one night

When all the world stood still

You were my love my light

Now you are a memory

A shadow of the truth

that love is ever-living

and my love is the proof
