Summers End

Reawakened hope

Summer’s gone

I’d only just begun

to feel so free

The warmth of life

of light

Just you and me

moving,dancing

by the sea

where I found shells

murmuring their mystery

Hopeful still

I search the sky

and see

a lone white dove

circling endlessly
