The (Lovely) Rain Shower

Wet matted hair, in the breeze of love

And the steady flow of rain from above

Our feet splatter in the growing puddles

As we dash throughout the flooding streets

 

The racing beat of a pounding heart,

Along with a promise to never part

Laughter rings out through the spray

Our hands clasped and shaking sides

 

With a canopy before us we grin

Around and around through the drizzle we spin

Our breath tingling on each other

Lips brushing lightly under showers of mist

This is exquisite. It doesn't have to be limited to the young but just two people expressing passion and love in the rain. A private moment suspended in time. A truly romantic write indeed; the rain adds a more intimate feel to the whole piece. Your words are nicely descriptive and your flow is excellent.
