Wish Upon a Glow-in-the-Dark Star

Young love under a star filled ceiling. The story of two Glow-in-the-dark star crossed lovers.

 

Glow-in-the-dark stars decorated your ceiling,

And I just couldn’t shake the feeling,

Of wishing we could be something more while lying together,

Both curled up under the weather

 

The dull gray skies above,

Foreshadowed the rain caused thereof

When the heavens broke open,

We stole away once again

 

Dark days were dispelled by the neon above us,

By the blinds undone with much fuss,

I laughed when a star fell down upon your head,

“What’d you wish for?” I joked looking overhead from atop your bed

 

You glanced back into my eyes,

Something was said to my surprise

“You.”

Something inside me knew it was true

 

“Every night I wish upon a glow-in-the-dark star.” You said passing past friend

Your breath made the hairs on my neck stand on end

I turned and knew I was right with my feelings

And now it was a kiss we were both stealing
