Lonely Thought

Such a lonely thought.
All by itself.
Unaccompanied,
by anything else.
It sends a constant shiver,
through my already aching body.
Why you?
What's so special?
What ISN'T special...?
The branched thought,
now a full grown willow.
A weeping willow.
The colorful wind wraps it's careful arms,
around each branch that yearns.
Hope!
Hope for tomorrow!
I know I don't deserve it.
And my best wasn't good enough,
but I can try harder!
If I had you by my side.
A lonely thought,
that I can't let go of.
That I can't repress.

Like a song stuck on repeat.
Like a record stuck on a song.
